Everything as a Service (XaaS)- A cloud computing product
Everything-as-a-Service is a subset of cloud computing.
What is cloud computing?
Cloud computing is service delivery through the Internet. The deliverables include applications like data storage, servers, networking, databases and software. The primitive style of keeping files on a hard drive or local storage device, the cloud based storage makes it possible to save them on a remote database. With the help of these remote databases, as long as an electronic device is accessing the web, it has access to the data and software programs to run it.
Everything-as-a-Service Model has various services associated with it such as:-
- Hardware-as-a-Service (Haas):- Some of the hardware installed on the customers sites as per their demand by the managed service providers (MSP). It is a kind of pay-as-you-go model where computing resources are located on the MSP’s site and are provided to users as an alternative to physical hardware.
- Communication-as-a-Cost (CaaS)- This model carries within itself different communication models such as VoIP (voice over IP), video conference applications that are hosted on clouds. A company can keep their communication app on the cloud servers for a certain period and pay for their usages.
